Three lawyers. Three paths in.
Former founders, compliance specialists, and commercial lawyers who chose to specialise in the new economy. One shared view: founders deserve better legal support than the market has historically offered.
Eli Bernstein
Eli is a lawyer and serial entrepreneur who has been at the intersection of technology, regulation, and capital markets for over a decade. Before entering law, Eli built and invested in technology companies across Australia, the United States, and the Middle East โ giving him firsthand insight into the friction between ambitious product roadmaps and regulatory reality.
At Moto Legal, Eli leads the firm's AI and digital asset practice across both the Australian and UAE entities. He advises on digital currency exchange licensing with AUSTRAC, ASIC's evolving approach to crypto assets, AI governance frameworks, and cross-border structuring for technology businesses.
Eli is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions and brings a founder's instinct to legal advice โ practical, direct, and oriented toward enabling the client's goals rather than cataloguing reasons why something can't be done.

Sibel
Sibel brings deep expertise in Australian financial services law, regulatory compliance, and corporate advisory for technology companies. Before joining Moto Legal, Sibel built a practice advising emerging technology businesses through the complexities of Australian licensing, AFSL applications, and AUSTRAC compliance.
Her practice focuses on helping technology businesses understand and navigate the Australian regulatory environment โ not just what the rules say, but what they mean for product decisions, business models, and growth plans. She's known for giving founders the direct, practical advice they need rather than the hedged, theoretical analysis they don't.
Sibel leads the firm's Australian compliance practice and works closely with Eli on matters that span the Australian and UAE regulatory landscape.
